Events such as the Olympics and Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations are to be held. S Club is gearing up.

The Pop group has been flooded with offers and proposals over the last 3 years. But they repeatedly denied reuniting and performing, a source informed The Mirror.

After series of talks, discussions and meetings, S Club finally decided to do it. The whole nation (Britain) is pretty excited with the upcoming Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. At the moment British are feeling good. A Source said that the band thought that if it is not now then it will be never. So if the recent performances go well, then there is a great possibility of releasing a new album as well as releasing the new collection of Greatest Hits.

The band members are excited to the hilt and are planning to rock the stage. They were supposed to plan a comeback last year according to the rumors. They achieved unparalleled success between the years 1999 and 2003. They had to their credit eleven UK top ten, which includes reaching number one four times. The band has to its credit over seventeen million records around the world. They also gained popularity because of a successful children’s television programme, ‘Miami 7′.

The band had 4 United Kingdom number one singles, 1 United Kingdom number one album, a chain of hit tracks throughout Europe, including a top-10 single in the US, Africa, Latin America and Asia.

Their very first album, S Club, had a very strong 90s pop sound, quite same to the artists of that time. Along with the popularity of their television series, this band won 2 Brit awards – in the year 200 for British breakthrough act and best British single in 2002. After Paul Cattermole left the group in the year 2002, the band changed their name to S Club from S Club 7.
